inside edge: the darker line
RBI → RFI → RBI. A skater who rotates the other way traces LBI: the same element, generated from this one.

A rocker into a counter from a backward entry. The two turns rotate opposite ways and both change the circle, so the skater ends up back on the lobe they began on while having travelled somewhere else entirely.

Watch the middle edge. There is a genuine edge between the turns, brief but real, and if it is a flat then what happened was one long rotation with two scrapes in it.

Derived

RBI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): right foot, backwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

RBI, rocker to RFI, then counter to RBI. 2 turns on one foot, and the skater finishes on the edge they started on.

Nothing above is stored on this page. The cluster records its entry edge and the order of its turns; every edge in between is chained out of the same rule that draws a single turn.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from LBI. Same element, mirrored.
