LFI → LFO. A skater who rotates the other way traces RFI: the same element, generated from this one.

Forwards from the inside edge to the outside, the curve reversing as the blade rolls across. This is the half most skaters find harder, because arriving on an outside edge asks for a lean the free side has to allow.

Judge it by comparing the two lobes. If they are the same depth, the change happened where it should. If the second is shallower, the roll came late and you spent the first part of it on a flat.

Derived

LFI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, forwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LFI change of edge to LFO: the blade rolls from one edge to the other without pivoting, the direction of travel does not change, and the lobe reverses.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RFI. Same element, mirrored.
