RFI → LBO. A skater who rotates the other way traces LFI: the same element, generated from this one.

Forwards on the inside edge, stepping onto the other foot to travel backwards on its outside edge, with the curve reversing at the step. The exit is a checked back outside edge, which makes this one of the most useful changes of foot there is: it is how a sequence gets from a forward lobe onto a backward one without losing speed.

Watch the moment of transfer itself. If the new lobe does not start immediately, the weight went across before the lean did.

Derived

RFI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): right foot, forwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

RFI choctaw to LBO: the skater steps onto the other foot, the edge changes, and the lobe reverses. There is no cusp, because nothing pivots.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from LFI. Same element, mirrored.
