RBO → LBI. A skater who rotates the other way traces LBO: the same element, generated from this one.

Backwards, the free foot set down beside the skating foot with nothing crossing. Quieter than a crossover and less powerful, which is the trade: a chassé keeps a curve going without disturbing it.

Because there is no crossing action to hide behind, a chassé shows up a weak edge at once. If the lobe opens out as the feet change, the edge was never deep.

Derived

RBO is three letters (foot, direction, edge): right foot, backwards, outside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

RBO chassé to LBI: the skater steps onto the other foot, the direction of travel does not change, and the lobe continues.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from LBO. Same element, mirrored.
