LFI → LBO. A skater who rotates the other way traces RFI: the same element, generated from this one.

The one the British syllabus asks for, at Skills 7, and it is not entered from a standing start: a backward inside counter hands it over. So the twizzle inherits whatever the counter left, and a counter that could not be checked leaves nothing worth inheriting.

Two full curls and a half, on an edge that was already working hard. What separates this from a double is where the extra rotation has to come from, since there is no fresh push and no new edge between them. Skaters who can do both will tell you the double is a twizzle and this one is an exit.

Derived

LFI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, forwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LFI 2½ twizzle to LBO: 2½ rotations on one foot, travelling, leaving 2 curls in the tracing and no cusp anywhere. The lobe continues, and the half rotation turns the skater to face the other way, which is why the edge letter changes without the blade ever changing which way it curves.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RFI. Same element, mirrored.
