LBI → LFI → LBO. A skater who rotates the other way traces RBI: the same element, generated from this one.

The pairing British Ice Skating asks for at Skills 7, from a backward inside edge and entered off a crossover. Two difficult turns joined, and the document says as much in its objectives.

The count matters here in a way it does not on a standing twizzle. Two and a half rotations leave the skater facing the way they did not start, so the counter’s check has to be set against where the twizzle will finish. Skaters who can do both separately and not together are almost always checking for the wrong exit.

Derived

LBI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, backwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LBI, counter to LFI, then 2½ twizzle to LBO. 2 turns on one foot, and the skater finishes on LBO.

Nothing above is stored on this page. The cluster records its entry edge and the order of its turns; every edge in between is chained out of the same rule that draws a single turn.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RBI. Same element, mirrored.
