LBI → LFO → LBI. A skater who rotates the other way traces RBI: the same element, generated from this one.

Two three turns on one foot from a backward entry. The rhythm is the whole exercise: turn, check, turn, with the same knee rising and falling twice in the space one turn would usually take.

Entering backwards you cannot watch the first turn arrive, so the second one has to be felt. There is nothing to time it against. Skaters who rush it end up with a scrape where the second cusp should be and no edge at all coming out.

Derived

LBI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, backwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LBI, three turn to LFO, then three turn to LBI. 2 turns on one foot, and the skater finishes on the edge they started on.

Nothing above is stored on this page. The cluster records its entry edge and the order of its turns; every edge in between is chained out of the same rule that draws a single turn.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RBI. Same element, mirrored.
