LFI → LBO → LFI. A skater who rotates the other way traces RFI: the same element, generated from this one.

Two three turns on the same foot, one straight after the other, entering forwards. Each is an ordinary three turn; the difficulty is entirely in the join. You have to check the first one hard enough to stop the rotation, then release it again immediately for the second, and there is no time to reset the edge in between.

The tell is the second cusp. If it is shallower than the first, the check failed and the body carried the turn round. The blade did not cut it.

Derived

LFI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, forwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LFI, three turn to LBO, then three turn to LFI. 2 turns on one foot, and the skater finishes on the edge they started on.

Nothing above is stored on this page. The cluster records its entry edge and the order of its turns; every edge in between is chained out of the same rule that draws a single turn.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RFI. Same element, mirrored.
