outside edge: the paler line
LBO → LBO. A skater who rotates the other way traces RBO: the same element, generated from this one.

Backwards on an outside edge, one rotation, out where it started. This is the twizzle of ice dance (done in sequence, in pairs, at speed), and the one most likely to be asked for with something else immediately after it.

Blind, so it runs off the edge and the shoulders, with nothing you can watch. The exit is the whole element: the rotation has to stop on the edge it started on, checked. Stopping two-thirds of the way round and putting in a step to tidy up what is left is the fault.

Derived

LBO is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, backwards, outside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LBO twizzle to LBO: one rotation on one foot, travelling, leaving one curl in the tracing and no cusp anywhere. The lobe continues, because a curl cannot curve against itself.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RBO. Same element, mirrored.
