inside edge: the darker line
LFI → LBI. A skater who rotates the other way traces RFI: the same element, generated from this one.

Forwards on the inside edge, rotating into the circle, holding the inside edge out the back. Because the edge holds and the direction reverses, the new lobe curves opposite to the old one: you have changed circles without changing edges.

Watch the exit closely. Rotating, landing on a flat and picking the new lobe up a beat later is the common fault. The turn is only really finished when the new curve starts at the cusp.

Derived

LFI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, forwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LFI rocker to LBI: the edge holds, the skater rotates into the circle, and the lobe reverses.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RFI. Same element, mirrored.
