outside edge: the paler line
LBO → LFO. A skater who rotates the other way traces RBO: the same element, generated from this one.

Backwards on the outside edge (the edge you land jumps on), rotating into the circle and coming out forwards, still outside.

A rocker keeps the edge you are on and reverses the direction you are travelling, which, because those are two of the three things that decide which way a lobe curves, means the new lobe curves the opposite way. You leave one circle and join another.

It is worth doing a three turn and a rocker back to back from the same entry edge. The rotation feels almost identical. What differs is where you end up.

Derived

LBO is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, backwards, outside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LBO rocker to LFO: the edge holds, the skater rotates into the circle, and the lobe reverses.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RBO. Same element, mirrored.
