inside edge: the darker line
RFI → RBI → RFI. A skater who rotates the other way traces LFI: the same element, generated from this one.

A rocker into a counter, forwards. The rocker rotates into the circle and hands you a new lobe; the counter rotates against that new lobe and hands you another. Two changes of circle in a row, on one foot, with the body reversing its rotation between them.

This is where checking stops being a detail. The rocker’s exit has to be stopped dead before the counter can be entered, and the counter turns the other way, so any rotation left over from the first turn is working directly against the second.

Derived

RFI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): right foot, forwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

RFI, rocker to RBI, then counter to RFI. 2 turns on one foot, and the skater finishes on the edge they started on.

Nothing above is stored on this page. The cluster records its entry edge and the order of its turns; every edge in between is chained out of the same rule that draws a single turn.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from LFI. Same element, mirrored.
