inside edge: the darker line
RBI → RFI. A skater who rotates the other way traces LBI: the same element, generated from this one.

Backwards on the inside edge, rotating away from the circle, out forwards on the inside edge and onto a new lobe. It has a reputation and most of it is deserved: the weakest entry edge combined with the least helpful rotation.

It is also the clearest illustration of what the four turns actually are. Same entry as the back inside three, same rotation as the back inside bracket, same held edge as the back inside rocker. The combination is the only thing that makes it its own turn.

Derived

RBI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): right foot, backwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

RBI counter to RFI: the edge holds, the skater rotates against it, and the lobe reverses.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from LBI. Same element, mirrored.
