inside edge: the darker line
LBI → LBI. A skater who rotates the other way traces RBI: the same element, generated from this one.

Two rotations backwards on an inside edge, exiting where it began. The hardest of the twelve, for the same reason the single is the hardest of its four: there is least to lean on and least to check against, and now it has to last twice as long.

If it fails it usually fails between the curls, where the edge flattens and the second rotation skids round. The tracing is unambiguous about it: a flat is a straight line, and a straight line in the middle of a twizzle is the whole fault.

Derived

LBI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): left foot, backwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

LBI double twizzle to LBI: 2 rotations on one foot, travelling, leaving 2 curls in the tracing and no cusp anywhere. The lobe continues, because a curl cannot curve against itself.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from RBI. Same element, mirrored.
