outside edge: the paler line
RBO → RFO → RBO → RBO. A skater who rotates the other way traces LBO: the same element, generated from this one.

A rocker into a counter into a double twizzle, from a backward entry. October 2026 adds it to the last section of Skills 8, as one of two optional directions, and it is the longest single-foot run in the test.

The counter is the pivot of it in both senses. It has to undo the rocker’s change of lobe and then hold still enough for the rotation to be metered, and there is no step, no push and no glide anywhere in which to fix a bad one. Everything that goes wrong here goes wrong in the first half.

Derived

RBO is three letters (foot, direction, edge): right foot, backwards, outside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

RBO, rocker to RFO, then counter to RBO, then double twizzle to RBO. 3 turns on one foot, and the skater finishes on the edge they started on.

Nothing above is stored on this page. The cluster records its entry edge and the order of its turns; every edge in between is chained out of the same rule that draws a single turn.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from LBO. Same element, mirrored.
