inside edge: the darker line
RFI → RFI. A skater who rotates the other way traces LFI: the same element, generated from this one.

Two rotations forwards on an inside edge, exiting where it entered. The rotation is easier to start here than from an outside edge and much harder to keep even, because the edge helps with the first turn and not with the second.

Watch the travel. A double that stops moving has become a spin (the governing bodies say so in as many words), and the tracing shows it immediately: two curls sitting on top of each other where they should sit one after the other.

Derived

RFI is three letters (foot, direction, edge): right foot, forwards, inside edge. Every edge in the guide is written that way, so RBI is a right foot travelling backwards on an inside edge.

RFI double twizzle to RFI: 2 rotations on one foot, travelling, leaving 2 curls in the tracing and no cusp anywhere. The lobe continues, because a curl cannot curve against itself.

A skater who rotates the other way does the same thing from LFI. Same element, mirrored.
