Double loop + Euler + double Salchow
Double loop (RBO, off the edge) through an Euler into a double Salchow (LBI, off the edge), 5 rotations in all.
Also called 2Lo+1Eu+2S. Other names.
Not checked yet. The mechanics on this page are a first draft by a non-expert, and no coach has seen them yet. Read them as a starting point and check them with a coach. Corrections are very welcome.
The loop lands on the edge it took off from, so the first jump hands the second its takeoff directly. With no pick anywhere, everything depends on landing the first on an edge that is still curving cleanly.
The double loop lands RBO and the Euler takes off from it, turns once and lands LBI on the other foot, where the double Salchow takes off. Nothing comes between them, and the Euler counts only here, between two jumps, as a single.
The Salchow here has no three turn in front of it. The Euler has already put the skater on the back inside edge, so the free leg swings through and the jump goes up from the landing.
At double the margin is small: the first jump has to leave enough speed to carry through the Euler into two full turns, and a last jump that comes up short is marked as under-rotated.
Derived
The double loop takes off RBO off the edge and lands RBO; the Euler takes off from that same edge with no pick and lands LBI; the double Salchow takes off from that same edge with no pick and lands RBO. 5 rotations in all, written 2Lo+1Eu+2S on a protocol sheet.
Made of the double loop, the Euler and the double Salchow. Nothing here is stored on the page beyond the three jumps and the count.
A skater who rotates clockwise takes off LBO and lands on LBO: the same combination, mirrored.
