The Lutz is entered on a long back outside edge curving against its rotation, and lands on a back outside edge curving the normal way. The second jump takes off from that landing.
The Double Lutz lands RBO and the double toe loop takes off from RBO: one edge, held, with no step or turn on it. In a jump sequence the skater may hop or step between the jumps; in a combination there is nothing between them.
The toe loop is the usual second jump. The landing edge is already its takeoff, so the free foot reaches back, the toe goes in behind, and the pick gives the lift that the remaining speed cannot.
At double the margin is small: the first jump has to leave enough speed for the second to find two full turns, and a second jump that comes up short is marked as under-rotated.
Derived
The double Lutz takes off LBO off the pick and lands RBO; the double toe loop takes off from that same edge off the pick and lands RBO. 4 rotations in all, written 2Lz+2T on a protocol sheet.
Made of the double Lutz and the double toe loop. Nothing here is stored on the page beyond the two jumps and the count.
A skater who rotates clockwise takes off RBO and lands on LBO: the same combination, mirrored.
