The run LFO, feet together · three LBI · feet together · finish the lobe · step forward to the other foot
Not drawn in the body frame yet: the step between lobes is coming; the hopped version needs a hop on one foot with a half turn, which the body frame cannot draw.
The three turn done very slowly, exactly half way round each lobe, with the free foot drawn in beside the skating foot before the turn and again after it. Nothing is hurried: the turn is placed, then the lobe is finished on the back edge.
Taking the speed away shows whether the turn comes from the body or from momentum. Done slowly, the shoulders, hips and knee have to do it in the right order, and a turn that slides or scrapes shows which one was early.
The hopped version adds a small hop through the turn, landing on the same foot. It is how some coaches first teach the half turn in the air of a waltz jump.
